Why We Really Snore?

Snoring narrows the throat and restricts air passege. Flapping throat tissues between narrow airways is w hat causes the noise of snoring. Snoring is not just a minor annoyance. Snoring may be sign of more serious problems. Snoring increases the risk of heart desease. Snoring can lead to sexual problems.

Snoring may become more common for those of us who are aging and those of us that fail to lead as healthy a lifestyle as we probably should. For instance, a man age 52, who smokes, drinks and is overweight, has definitely caused his wife to leave the bedroom due to his snoring. This man needs to take an honest self assessment, make strides in controlling his snoring, and begin to make positive health changes that will help him live well into his golden years.

This will always result in more fat, which constricts the airway in the throat, disrupting the smooth flow of air while one is relaxed during sleep. Smoking greatly affects the respiratory system. Because alcohol causes the throat muscles to relax, resulting in snoring, drinking should only be done sparingly. Snoring may be caused by medications. The same is true for sleeping aids and sedatives.
You might want to use an anti-snoring product or device in addition to the appropriate health changes of loosing weight, quitting drinking and smoking, and changing medications if allowed. There are many solutions available to relieve your snoring woes on the market today, and it's easy to find non-invasive and affordable products. There are many herbal remedies today for some of life's little problems such as snoring. There are homeopathic pills, sprays, clips, strips, even a pillow that helps you to stop snoring. There are jaw, mouth and throat exercises that can be done to prevent snoring, along with a variety of accessories that are made to fit individuals.
